Games Night at Wonersh Village Club

On Saturday 24th March 2007, the Wonersh Players held a games night at the Wonersh Village Club. Once the important business of organising a beer kitty had been sorted out, the fourteen of us split in to two group; the laughably named "Young Guns" and the embarrassingly named "Grown Ups". The two teams played darts, snooker, shut-the-box, table skittles & epic games of shove ha'penny and although the rules were vague for some of the games, everyone joined in and had a laugh.

At the end of the evening, it didn't really matter which team won or lost (particularly as it wasn't my team), but the Den Fisher Trophy was awarded to the Young Guns with a total score of 21 to 11. The evening ended well after midnight with a game of Killer and as the bar was closed, the remainder of the beer kitty (£2.11) was donated to charity.

Thanks to everyone who came along and played, it was good to see you all again, and also thanks to Jane at the Club for her patience.

If you would like to join in with any other social do's during the Spring and Summer, (possibly Skittles Evening at the Grantley Arms or a meal at the Indian restaurant in Bramley) please let me know through the Contact Us page of this website. I look forward to hearing from you

Feedback from Steve - Sunday 25 March

Hello fellow players, just a note to all who attended the games night on saturday to say thanks for a great night. I think all who were there had a laugh and got suitably oiled. We are hoping to meet up in about six weeks time, mid may for another get together.Any ideas? Do we need to stay in the village or should we go further afield.........like Bramley? Long way to the low land but it might be fun! Keep in touch all, Steve Cozens. PS. Bad luck to the grown ups who got thrashed in the games night! Ha ha ha. Later dudes!
